About Kilimanjaro Restaurants
Kilimanjaro, a leading QSR brand by Sundry Foods, is transforming the food delivery experience with authentic Nigerian dishes and convenient online ordering. Operating 96 stores across 18 states, the brand serves households across sub-Saharan Africa through vibrant in-store experiences and seamless online delivery.
The challenges
Fragmented Order & Delivery Process
Managing incoming orders and deliveries was cumbersome without a centralized system.
Lack of Online Presence
Prior to 2017, Kilimanjaro Restaurant relied on their physical locations and their innovative ping-a-meal service on Blackberry devices to process orders.
System Capacity Limits
As the business grew, they required a full system overhaul to accommodate higher demand and introduce innovative features.
Logistics Management
Managing delivery orders was inefficient without a logistics app and delivery management system.
We focused on improving the overall customer experience.
Our collaboration with Kilimanjaro focused on enhancing their online presence and improving the overall customer experience. We developed a user-friendly app that simplifies the ordering process, enabling customers to easily select their location and browse the menu. We focused on the mobile experience with a mobile-first web app and also a mobile app availble on Android & iOS.

What we built
Website design (Phase 1)
Mactavis Digital built a website and online store using WordPress and WooCommerce for easy order placement in 2017. To buttress the system, we developed a Food Delivery Management System for order and logistics management.
Platform Relaunch (Phase 2)
In 2021, Kilimanjaro crossed some major scalability thresholds. This necessitated a system upgrade and building highly customized workflows. We redesigned and redeveloped the entire system to optimize for new scalability and operational realities.
Kili Meals Mobile App
We built a user-friendly mobile app with innovative features such as a wallet system, gift cards, customer-loyalty rewards etc. available on both Android and iOS platforms.
Kili Meals Web App
We built a re-imagined user-friendly web app with a mobile-first approach, optimized for speed, search engine optimization and usability, also ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
Kili Food Delivery Management Dashboard
A robust admin dashboard system for managing users, orders, deliveries, restaurants, promotions and platform features in general. Generating insightful reports on performance of restaurants.
Logistics Mobile App
An app for logistics personnel to receive delivery tasks and mark orders as dispatched and delivered.

Gift cards
We built a gift card feature that adds a convenient way for customers to gift their friends and family. Our team focused on making purchasing and redeeming giftcards a delightful experience.

Wallet
We implemented a wallet feature that makes in-store transactions and checkout simple and convenient, with a smooth experience for making payments for orders and purchasing gift cards.

Mobile-first
We had the opportunity to design a mobile experience that truly puts users first. Our team crafted an intuitive and visually appealing user journey, making it easy for users to navigate and engage with the app.

Seamless customer journey
We redesigned the ordering flow to make shopping easier. By simplifying each step, we created a seamless experience that allows customers to easily find what they need and place their orders with confidence.
