About WAHEB
The West Africa Health Examinations Board (WAHEB), established in 1925, certifies public health professionals across five Anglophone West African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia.
The challenges
Manual Operations
WAHEB relied on paper-based processes, requiring physical transportation of exam and student records to their Lagos office, leading to delays and errors.
Data Management Issues
A decade’s worth of student and exam records (1.5 million+ students) had to be cleaned, digitized, and moved to a cloud-based database.
Decentralized Access
Member institutions and colleges lacked direct access to manage student and exam records, and also participate directly in exam processes.
Payment Inefficiencies
Payments for exams and accreditation were processed manually, resulting in cumbersome paperwork and reconciliation delays.

What we built
Examination Management System

- Digitized and migrated 1.5 million student records and exam data from over a decade into a secure cloud-based system.
- Transferred records for 250 colleges to ensure real-time access and management.
